The eleventh episode, Water Ways, delves
into the thoughtful incorporation
of water features that establish a
harmonious connection between the
home and its natural surroundings.
Drawing inspiration from the nearby
river, we reflect on how flowing water
smooths and polishes ancient granite
boulders, and how this natural artistry
influences our design philosophy.
The transformation of a previously
demolished pool into a serene
hilltop swimming oasis is showcased,
featuring an infinity edge and
repurposed granite boulders that echo
the river’s character. The pool contractor
skillfully rejuvenates the space by
crafting artisanal faux boulders to
seamlessly blend with the natural
landscape. Water is again the star of
the front entry courtyard. The entry
is reimagined with a contemporary
reflecting pool, where strategically
placed granite boulders emerge
like islands in a tranquil sea, and a
subtle concrete spillway introduces a
gentle cascade, enhancing the serene
ambiance.
