Salmon Falls House
“They dreamed of a one-of-a-kind home with
expansive views of the lake and mountains,
shielded from the intense summer sun
without blinds or complicated gadgets.”
Facing south toward the lake, the design uses extended “sun
gallery” walls to shade the interiors while framing targeted views.
These walls protect the home from the intense summer sun while
welcoming the low-angle winter light.
A second-floor roof deck, accessible via a bridge, offers panoramic
views, while a hillside pool and cascading water feature connect
the home to its natural surroundings. Shaded courtyards and
firepits complete the serene, functional design.
