Ultimate Residential Landscape
“They basically wanted everything!
The owners of a large custom home
on a 1- acre sloped site overlooking
the Paci昀椀c ocean and coastal
mountains, they envisioned a place
to play, entertain, relax and become
a magnet for their children and their
friends. Unique to the design of this
project is that every path and route is
wheelchair accessible for one of the
owners to access the entire site. The
rear of the house has an overlook
terrace and dining pavilion with a
water slide and elevator access to the
pool level.”
The terraced multilevel project includes a large pool for
exercise, a spa and a cabana with kitchen and poolside
game room, a tennis and turfed volleyball court and a
4-hole “pitch and putt” target golf range. The pathway
ways and stairs meander the site and even allow
wheelchair raised vegetable gardening. A formal front
entry garden and courtyard with fountain is the pivot
point of access to the home’s entry and entry to the
fenced rear area landscape zone.
Lush plantings of over 120 varieties of native plantings
spill over walls, climb fences and cover erosive slopes
with seasonal flowering displays that provide a
beneficial environment for birds, insects and wildlife.
