Bridgeview House
“They dreamed of living on a ridgetop
overlooking the San Francisco Bay. The
narrow lot didn’t deter them—we aligned
their dream with the Bay Bridge itself.”
On a narrow ridgetop lot in the East Bay, the design balances
constraints with breathtaking opportunities. By positioning the
home 6 degrees off-axis from the lot lines, the design perfectly
aligns the Bay Bridge with the dining room and rear deck, creating
a stunning visual connection.
A three-sided carport replaces a traditional garage, allowing for
a welcoming courtyard at the front of the home. At the rear, a long
deck extends the living space, framing panoramic views of the Bay
and creating a seamless indoor-outdoor experience.
