Set on a challenging hillside site in the Bay Area,
this home overcame strict height restrictions
through thoughtful integration with the land.
The design features excavated retaining walls
that anchor a dramatic, copper-roofed structure
with expansive glass walls and voluminous
interiors.
An infinity pool clings to the edge of the
hill, creating a seamless connection to the
surrounding landscape. Native plantings, a
rainwater collection system, and a large
flagstone terrace enhance sustainability and
natural harmony.
