every room—a special place for
generations to gather.”
On a steep lakeside parcel, this design celebrates
the site’s dramatic views while addressing its
challenges. The 5-acre property’s steep slope
required extensive grading to create a buildable
platform. The resulting design features a
long, narrow layout, with every room carefully
positioned to frame unique lake vistas.
At the heart of the home, a grand rotunda
connects the upper and lower floors, anchoring
the entry and drive court. Adjacent to the main
house, a detached guest residence offers
equally stunning views, creating a harmonious
composition.
Outdoor spaces include a covered patio, an
infinity-edge pool, an outdoor kitchen, and an
illuminated sport court. A 4-person funicular,
with stops at the patio and sport court, connects
the steeply tiered spaces, ensuring accessibility
and enhancing the site’s usability.
