Without doubt, good solid design concepts are rooted in the details
like where to put the windows and doors, how to screen the wind and
sun and a place to park the car. After all that and some sharp intuition
about human nature, you have the ethereal—the spiritual force. Our clients
were intrigued by the principles of Feng Shui and sought guidance from
a Master. Birth dates and family histories were evaluated and a list of
design guidelines mandated which rooms must face where and which door
must open here or bad luck would plague the family and project. How can
a designer argue with “the force?” Who would have ever guessed that
designing no-leak roofs and “spiritually enhanced” spaces had anything in common?
